All eyes rest on the 6th Gastronomy Festival in Bansko, Bulgaria.
For the 6th consecutive year, Premier Gastronomy Festival was completed with plenty of success, having collected lots of wonderful foodie memories. Premier Luxury Mountain Resort, a proud member of Ermia Hotels & Resorts and the only member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World in Bulgaria, is extremely pleased having attracted such great gastronomic stars, which challenged both the taste buds and the brain of every participant.
The festival that took place under the auspices of Embassy of Greece in Sofia was attended by a majority of renowned Chefs, along with various gastronomic lovers and lots of eminent people. The Festival kicked off on 7th November with a spectacular Opening Cocktail Party accompanied by the majestic violin tunes of the famous Salonic Stars.
An illustrious line-up of guest Chefs participated during the Festival coming from famous restaurants and hotels from all over the world. On 7th November, Chef Polychronis Damalas from Cavo Tagoo Santorini created a special Degustation Dinner of Japanese / Brazilian Cuisine. Polychronis’ dishes resembled contemporary masterpieces that reflected innovation and deep inspiration. On 10th November, Chef Thanos Stasinos from Nikkei Restaurant in Athens created a series of dishes inspired from Nikkei Cuisine, offering a feast for both the eye and palate. On 11th of November, Chef Mario Perez Sanchez, a perfectionist at heart from Restaurante Leka in Barcelona, showcased the vibrant Tropical Peruvian Cuisine which is a popular trend in Barcelona at the moment. On 15th November, the renowned gastronomic maestros, Chefs Athinagoras Kostakos & Alexis Zopas from Scorpios Mykonos, playfully showed their talents and techniques elevating guests’ dining experiences through culinary artistry and excellence. Their degustation dinner was focused on Mexican – Cycladic Cuisine.
This year, Le Cordon Bleu Mexico & Le Cordon Bleu Peru joined their forces at PREMIER, creating an intriguing Latin-American festival setting, offering Professional Seminars, while enlightening the participants regarding the latest trends within the culinary scene. Chef Omar Morales conducted a seminar for “Modern Mexican Cuisine for 5* City & Resort Hotels”, while Chef Gregor Funcke from Le Cordon Bleu Peru conducted a “Modern Peruvian Cuisine” seminar. The participants had the opportunity to learn every modern technique first hand from the expert ones.
Premier Luxury Mountain Resort in cooperation with GASTRONOMY ESSENTIALS, have successfully managed to create for the first time in Europe a point of reference and training in Modern Global Culinary Techniques, focused on Catering & Hospitality Professionals who visit Bansko every year and learn the Industry’s latest trends, combining relaxation, Spa and exciting Degustation Dinners created by world-widely known Chefs.
Exciting memories of another beautiful gastronomic “journey”
With great pleasure and plenty of excitement, we present you last year’s 5th Gastronomy Festival in Bansko. Hosted by our hotel, Premier Luxury Mountain Resort, from 4-20 November 2016, this year’s festival definitely had it all! Chefs from the global culinary scene gathered together and conducted seminars that revealed a great number of fascinating gastronomic secrets and valuable pieces of advice for all the lovers of the culinary art! The renowned Le Cordon Blue Paris, the awarded and worldwide leading culinary school conducted the seminar “Fine Dining Techniques” from 9-11 November, urging professionals to participate and discover all the techniques of a “Fine Dining” level!
George Stylianoudakis, a distinguished professional chef all around the world, conducted the seminar “Sous Vide Techniques – How to Decrease Food Cost in an a la Carte Restaurant”, offering in this way useful details regarding the cost-effective operations of restaurants, revealing at the same time great secrets that inspired everybody!
Fusion of lifestyle flavors and impressive culinary creations were waiting for guests in our numerous degustation dinners, as well. Our guests tasted and got inspired by the extravaganza of flavors that remained unforgettable!
Chef Alsi Sin, an expert in the Japanese, Peruvian, Siam and Canton cuisine hosted a special degustation dinner.
Bulgaria was represented by the Chef Andrey Stoilov from the Bulgarian Association of the professional cooks and a team leader of the Bulgarian national team for the Culinary Olympic Games. This exquisite Chef offered us a “Bulgarian Cuisine” experience.
The guests and the participants of the festival had the chance to taste the menu of Chef Tsvetomir Nikolov. This chef, of more than 10 years of experience in the field of culinary industry, was ready to face any challenge of the new trends of the culinary art and inspire the guests.
Dimitris Pamporis, a young accomplished Chef presented the wealth of the Modern Greek Cuisine. The Chef followed a wonderful combination of tradition and modernity in his kitchen and excited everyone!
The Michelin Star Chef Jordi Esteve has wonderful knowledge of the ancient and modern culinary techniques and his dishes were specialized in Catalan cuisine, seeking balance between creativity, innovation and traditional cuisine. His degustation dinner was inspired by the Mediterranean and Gourmet Cuisine.
Alexandar Aleksiev, the distinguished Bulgarian Chef with a sixteen-year experience, created tasty cocktails and delicacies in the Gastronomy Festival Opening Cocktail Party.
This year the chefs of the Festival had prepared a delicious surprise for the guests – the extraordinary event „Eat that Art“. Each one of them presented a painting made from food, inspired by their favorite work of art.

Premier did it again! For the 4th straight year our hotel hosted and organized the Premier Gastronomy Festival with exclusive chefs spoiling us with astonishing tastes and offering remarkable choices to the food lovers. Breathtaking smells spread across the Hotel and for once more everyone was magnetized by the unique choices offered on their plates.
This year, in order to stimulate professional chefs, with the support of significant institutions like Le Cordon Blue Madrid and the awarded Italian Chef Gianfranco Chiarini, educational culinary seminars took place with special training programs that offered unique experiences and knowledge to all participants.
In 2014, a brand new venture was implemented by Premier Luxury Mountain Resort and Gastronomy Essentials Ltd. From the 19th of November & until the 28th, salty met sweet in 2 training seminars for professionals hosted by Chef Reginald Ioos of Le Cordon Bleu and by Pastry Chef Dimitris Chronopoulos, official demonstrator of Valrhona chocolate.
And for the food enthusiasts of the 3rd Premier Gastronomy Festival, exotic flavours of Japan and Peru, spicy Mexican, surprising Dutch, contemporary German, elegant French, exciting Italian, adored Cretan and unique Monastery, all with a touch of world fusion, excited their palates.
Fine tastes and wines from every corner of the world performed a unique journey of flavors for the real gourmet lovers. All kinds of tastes, from Bulgarian to Monastery cuisine, from the Oriental to Sicilian & from the haute French to the traditional Greek, traveled even the most demanding food lovers, for almost 3 consecutive weeks.
